Diffwys (Deeff-oow-s - Precipice) forms part of the Rhinogydd and is technically a subsidiary summit of Y Llethr.

Among the highlights of this mountains are the views of the Caerdeon Syncline, which is exposed on the northwestern flank and is best viewed from the Crib-y-rhiw ridge.

The summit has a trig point with fine views, including the Mawddach Estuary.
